I'd like to pass it along to all of you, as a casting crew is looking for a patient on this insulin that would qualify and be interested in being in a web-based film:
I was contacted by a producer who is looking to cast a patient who is about to start on insulin and would be interested in being filmed. I believe you, the CDE, would be filmed as well.
I didn't have a patient that fit the requirements.
All I know about the project is what is listed below.

TYPE 2 DIABETES SPECS:
• Type 2 Diabetes
• Someone who is just about to start on insulin (and is willing to start on Lantus SoloSTAR pen) OR someone who has been using the Lantus SoloSTAR pen for less than 6 months
• Male or female
• Age 45+
• Ethnicity: Open
• Camera-friendly.
• Average weight to slightly heavy is ok
• Warm friendly outgoing
• Excited about the idea of helping others through their own, new experience of going on insulin and are hopeful about the idea of learning from 3 others who have "been there/done that". '
• USAGE: The videos in this series take us on a journey with (Person TBD), a Type 2 Diabetes patient who was just prescribed insulin. We’ll watch as this person learns about injections, meets his/her Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), and adapts to changes in his/her routines and lifestyle that using insulin requires. To help this new patient along the way are our three seasoned mentors. They have had similar experiences managing their diabetes and have learned to control their disease and enjoy their lives. They are on hand in each video to impart their knowledge, wisdom, and experience.
