This lecture by Dr. Carol Levy, MD, CDE. will review currently available treatment options for insulin pump and sensor technology and the concept of a bolus calculator and what factors are involved in determining bolus doses. The lecture will also review upcoming technology and for future therapies in this area.

 Goal and Objective
After participating in this activity, the viewer should be better able to:
1. A firm knowledge base of appropriate patients for insulin pump therapy
2. Awareness of all currently available insulin pumps and sensors and attributes
3. Knowledge of the concept of bolus calculators-what they can do and cannot do
4. Awareness of limitations of technology and future directions
