Dr. David Armstrong will discuss the team approach to diabetic ulcers and reducing the rate of amputations. David Armstrong will provide data showing how team approaches have been successful and will conclude by discussing his own practice and how they are able to work together as a team to treat patients with diabetic foot ulcers.

Goal and Objective
After participating in this activity, the viewer should be better able to:
1. Describe what causes amputations
2. Describe data available on team outcomes and amputation rates
3. Describe how a team approach works and how it decreases rates of amputation
4. Describe what is needed for a team to be successful in reducing amputation rates

Estimated time to complete this activity is 35 minutes.
