In this lecture Dr. Kshitij Shankhdhar introduces the listeners to the epidemic of diabetes predominantly affecting the developing countries and explains in detail the condition of diabetic foot care in developing world countries like India. He begins by enumerating the problems and comes out with 3 solutions, based on his experience of working with diabetic foot patients in different parts of India. In the lecture he introduces the listeners to his discovery - "The Samadhan System of offloading" and the new "One man team approach" both developed keeping in mind the various socio-economic aspects of diabetes patients from the developing world. The lecture ends on an optimistic note where it's concluded that "Improvisation is the key to success" while managing diabetic foot patients from developing world countries.
